We Are Listening

When the world becomes quiet, what can we hear?

We arrive at the threshold of winter.

The trees have released their leaves.

The seeds are underground.

The nights grow longer.

Life turns toward the dark.

After our November exploration of resting and integration, We Are Listening takes us one step further into the silence.

Not an empty silence, but a living one.

A silence filled with memory, possibility, and the quiet movements of what has not yet taken form.

In this WellWork gathering, Santjes and Oana invite us into listening as a practice of relationship—with our bodies, our inner knowing, one another, the Earth, and the larger field of life to which we belong.

Through the Wheel of the Four Directions, embodied practice, constellation, ritual, reflection, and deep listening, we will explore the question:

What becomes audible when we stop trying to find the answer?

Perhaps winter asks something different of us.

To become still enough to notice.

To listen without immediately responding.

To trust the fertile darkness.

To make room for dreams, images, sensations, memories, and unexpected knowing.

Before we speak the next chapter,

before we decide where we are going,

before the new year asks us what we will become—

November says, “You do not have to know yet.”

December says, “Now, listen.” 

This as  a bridge into the winter and potentially into whatever WellWork wants to open in the new year.
